It's that time of the year again....FEBRUARY!!! Boy did the first month just fly by or what! We pray you are doing well and that the new year is unfolding in wonderful ways for you.
We are in the process of switching our blog over to another site, we thank you in advance for your patience as we haven't posted any updates in a long while. For those of you on Facebook, please feel free to "friend" us since we tend to update there on a more regular basis.
Praises & Requests:
1. ANNIVERSARY - this Friday, Feb. 5th, will mark our 16th year of married life. What a journey it has been. We are grateful to the Lord every day for this blessing called marriage. Would you please pray for us in this area; that we will continue to uphold and honor our marriage vows before each other and the Lord.
2. CALI - will be graduating Japanese 6th grade in March. We are so proud of her. Please pray for us to have wisdom in our decisions regarding the next step in her schooling.
3. CHANG FAMILY- The Changs from Calvary Chapel San Diego will be coming to serve here with us starting in March. Please pray that the Lord would confirm His good and perfect will in their lives in regards to full time work on the mission field.
4. OUTREACH - our after-school kids club outreach continues at both locations and the Lord continues to bless with additional kids signing up for our program.
5. FELLOWSHIP - we are currently in the planning stages for our church retreat. Please pray that we will find a suitable location.
6. FAMILY - We covet your prayers as the Lord is bringing us to many crossroads in our ministry. Please pray for us to have hearts and ears open to hearing His voice, and also to have the courage to obey His calling.
7. FURLOUGH - We are currently planning on being home in California for the summer months due to a planned family reunion. We hope to be able to also share with our supporting churches the new ways that God might be leading our family to serve Him here in Japan. We will be looking forward to connecting with you all on a more personal basis and hope to give you a hug in person.
8. PERSONAL - for the past six months, Jeremiah has been training for his first marathon. We will both start the Tokyo Marathon on Feb. 28th, albeit, I will only be running the 10k race. Please pray for him to finish well and that we might both run in such a way that we can bring glory to His name. This new running hobby has been a lot of fun and we have learned a lot about ourselves in the process.
As always, we remain truly grateful for the many ways you encourage and support us while we are here. To those of you who faithfully support us either in prayer, encouragement, or financially... "Thank you!" We are awed beyond measure.
